Mussoorie is a beautiful hill station in Uttarakhand at 2005 mts above sea level. It is located at the foothills of the Himalayas and is known as the Queen of the Hills. Mussoorie offers spectacular views of the snow ranges to the northeast, a glittering view of the Doon Valley, and the Shivalik runs to the south.
Mussoorie got its name from the plants of Mussoorie or shrub. This particular plant is available in large quantities in this region. The town dates back to 1825 when the British people moved to the hilly areas in search of pleasant weather conditions. Camel’s Back Road – a jogger’s paradise, this is a famous road in Mussoorie because of its peaceful surroundings and abundant greenery. The road is for around 3 km and is named as the camelback road as there is a natural rock formation that looks exactly like a camel’s back.
Cloud’s End – your eyes will be in awe throughout your travel in Mussoorie as the views are breathtaking. The Cloud’s End as the name suggests is the geographical end of the city. Lal Tibba – Lal Tibba or the Red Hill is the highest peak in the Hill Station. Though, the entry to this place is restricted by the cantonment.

By Air – the nearest airport to Mussoorie is the Jollygrant Airport in Dehradun. There are several direct flights from Delhi and Mumbai. Also, one can take local taxis or buses to reach Mussoorie from Dehradun.
By Rail – the nearest railway station to Mussoorie is the Dehradun Railway Station. It is located around 36 km and one can avail several trains from far and near of cities.
By Road – Mussoorie is well-connected by a number of state government and private buses. These buses frequently connect with nearby places like Delhi, Dehradun and other important towns of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
