Corbett Tiger Reserve has captured the thoughts of various tourists with its diverse wildlife and spectacular landscapes; the innate uniqueness of the region was recognized long ago. The park was then named as ‘Hailey National Park’ but later was renamed. The area also came under the Project Tiger in the year 1971 when the Government of India launched the conservation projects for tigers in the country.

Jim Corbett National Park – Jim Corbett National Park is a part of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. It is the said to be one of the oldest national parks in India, established in the year 1936. The park houses a diversified fauna, also an ideal place to sight a tiger. Corbett is largely visited by tourists from all around the world. There are various endangered animal species that are found the region like, elephants, Gharial, Tigers, King Kobra, Flying Fox, Muntjac and Indian Pangolin. Garjiya Devi Temple – Garjiya Devi Temple is a religious destination for Hindus. It is situated in the Garjiya village near the city and is a holy place to visit. This temple is located over a large rock in the Kosi River.

Sita Vani Temple – Sita Vani Temple is located in the area of Ramnagar. It is considered that Devi Sita came on Earth in this place. The temple is visited by many devotees throughout the year.

By Rail – the nearest station from Corbett is Ramnagar Railway Station. It is located around 12 km away from the place. There are several trains that connect the Corbett to New Delhi and other major nearby cities.

By Road – driving from Delhi or Uttarakhand to Corbett is a highly preferred option as the roads are in great condition and there are several private buses that run throughout and are extremely convenient.
